Road Marking Staker (Pavement  Dot Marker)

It is a positioning tool for road marking layout. It sprays marker dots on the pavement to provide reference for thermoplastic and cold-spray road marking machines, replacing traditional tape measurement and lime marking.

When pushed forward, the ground-contact measuring wheel rolls on the pavement and drives the coaxial rotary encoder. Fixed pulses are output per full rotation of the wheel. The controller calculates travel distance according to pulse signals. With a fixed wheel circumference, displacement can be measured accurately. Smaller wheel delivers higher precision.

Main Applications

1.    Dash line layout: Generate spaced reference dots following national standard dash line specifications (e.g. 2‑4). Marking machines work along the dots to ensure solid and gap dimension compliance.

2.    Special marking positioning: Layout for longitudinal deceleration lines, guide lines, rumble strips, zebra crossings and delineator positions.

3.    Measuring wheel function: Distance-only mode without ink spraying for construction mileage statistics.

·         Encoder measuring wheel: Travel distance acquisition, wheel circumference 300 mm

·         Main control board: Built-in lithium battery

·         Ink jet nozzle: Sprays water-based ink (white or other colors) to make layout marks on pavement

·         Ink container: Ordinary beverage bottle can be used for ink storage

·         Body: Aluminium alloy foldable push rod for easy transport
